Visit "Where the Heart is" is filmed

This popular heart-warming drama series about the lives and loves of a small Yorkshire community has established itself as one of ITV's top programmes. Much of the filming takes place in the Colne Valley villages of Slaithwaite and Marsden, which together become the fictional village of 'Skelthwaite'.

Did you know… The name of the fictitious town "Skelthwaite" in Where the Heart Is is an amalgamation of two real place names, Skelmanthorpe and Slaithwaite.
